Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Review

0

The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 emerges as a standout smartwatch for Android users, offering a blend of style and functionality. With models starting at Rs 29,999, it caters to a range of preferences and budgets.

Design and Display

The Watch6 sports a sleek, minimal design with a stainless steel body and flat touchscreen, available in various colors. Its intuitive interface, navigated through two buttons and touch gestures, is complemented by the innovative “One-Click” strap design for easy swapping.

The watch boasts a larger 1.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 432 x 432 pixels, ensuring clear visibility even in bright sunlight. However, it lacks a brightness dimming option, which might be a drawback for night-time users.

Performance

Powered by the Exynos W390 dual-core chipset, the Watch6 offers smooth performance and quick app navigation. Running on Wear OS 4.0 with One UI, it provides a familiar Samsung experience but requires the Galaxy Wearable app for smartphone pairing.

Health and Fitness Features

The Watch6 continues to excel in health tracking, with sensors for heart rate, body composition, temperature, and more. It offers advanced sleep tracking and coaching, along with accurate heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. However, it doesn’t introduce any groundbreaking new health features compared to its predecessors.

Battery Life

The Watch6 shows a significant improvement in battery life, lasting up to two days on a single charge. It supports a 10-watt charger, requiring about an hour to fully charge.

Verdict

While the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 doesn’t present major upgrades over its previous models, its enhanced display, battery life, and health features make it a top choice for Android users. However, those with Galaxy Watch5 or Watch4 might not find it a necessary upgrade.
